highest paid engineers

Every couple of years we take a look at the data that shows which engineering schools are producing graduates with the highest out-of-the-chute pay and mid-career compensation. Again, we turn to PayScale com for the most recent data. This year we decided to look at the top 20 schools to offer a broader look at how engineering schools are stacking up pay-wise.
One of the interesting things about this survey is that it’s data-based with no subjective judgement calls. PayScale looks at its large pool of salary data to determine which schools have produced the highest paid engineers.

With a median salary of $132,280, petroleum engineer is one of  highest paid engineers the highest paying engineering jobs of 2019. The field is also projected to grow much faster than the average career over the next five to 10 years. The overall highest-paying company is Palo Alto Networks.

As we embrace the Internet of Things and other advances in digital technology, computer engineers are becoming more and more integral to the world. As such, they earn an average early career salary.
